A look at some verses from the Gospel of John through the book of Revelation
God gave His only Son, for the love of us. (John 3:16)
- In a sense He gave Him forever, because God will always remember the pain from the suffering, also the pain of people rejecting His Son.
He loved His own people … to the end. (John 13:1)
Obey Jesus’s commands, and you’ll know lots of love & of Jesus revealing Himself to you, and you’ll have the Father and the Son setting up home inside you. (John 14:21-23)
He kindly gives us a peace that passes understanding, a better peace than the world gives. (John 14:27)
The love is waiting there for us, we just need to abide in it by choosing to obey. (John 15:9-10)
Jesus lays down His life for those who obey Him (John 15:13-14)
God loves those who believe Jesus came from the Father & love His Son. (John 16:27)
As we learn of the Father (His ‘name’) we become aware of His love for us. (John 17:26)
God promises us the Holy Spirit to those who ask (Luke 11:13) who will pour out love within our hearts, which will give us hope. (Rom 5:5),
He loved us first, even while we were yet sinners (Rom 5:8)
No matter what awful things we go through, He loves us. We should feel like a conqueror because of that. (Rom 8:35-39)
Through Jesus’s enabling & through the love that the Holy Spirit constantly supplies, makes us want to pray for others (Rom 15:30)
He died for all, for me, so now I’m controlled by love for Him & I live for Him. (2 Cor 5:14-15)
God loves cheerful givers, and wants to give abundantly back to them (2 Cor. 9:7-9)
He’s the God of love and peace. He will be with us when we live right: rejoicing, getting healing, living in peace and unified thinking with one another (2 Cor. 13:11-14)
Jesus loved me and gave Himself up for me (Gal 2:20)
He has had kind intentions from eternity toward us, that He would be adopting us (Eph. 1:5)
Even when we were dead in sin, He had great love toward us & mercy, and decided to make us alive by associating us with Christ, also He seated us in a high place so that in the ages to come He could keep showing us huge kindness (Eph 2:4-7)
He wants us to know His super-excessive love of Christ toward us & be rooted and grounded in it & then be filled to the full with it (Eph 3:16-19)
As we love & speak out love, we grow up and connect to the Head (Christ) who causes us all to grow & to help each other to grow (Eph 4:15-16)
Christ loved you personally by dying for us, so: walk in love (Eph 5:2)
Christ loved the Church and gave Himself up for her, cleansing us by His Word, sanctifying us and making us holy, so He could marry us (Eph 5:25-27)
God & Jesus are working to give the brethren peace and love, with faith (Eph 6:23)
God loved you and chose you, and sent apostles with words & power & the Holy Spirit & full conviction to prove it to you, apostles who were the real deal (1 Thess 1:4-5)
God loved us and chose us from the very beginning, to be set apart by the Spirit and to have faith in the Truth so we’d become saved, that’s why He called us through the Gospel message, and He intends to make us share in Jesus’s glory (2 Thess 2:13-14)
God has loved us & given us everlasting comfort, also by extending grace He has given us ‘good hope’ (2 Thess 2:16-17)
God can direct us toward realizing & abiding in His love, and our hearts can know the steadfastness of Christ (2 Thess 3:5)
Jesus can give you faith and love, in a gracious way that is more than abundant (1 Tim 1:14)
God’s kindness and love appeared to us when He saved us, solely by His mercy, regenerated in baptism, renewed by the Holy Spirit who was poured out on us richly through Jesus. His grace justified us & made us eternal heirs (Tit 3:4-7)
When you go through hard times, see it as love toward you: God your Father is receiving you, He disciplines all His sons because He loves them. He delights in us (Prov 3:11-12, Heb 12:5-7). Therefore be zealous & repent (Rev 3:19)
When He saved us He also bestowed on us the title Child of God, and makes us such, because He had a great love for us, and we’ll end up like Him… giving us hope (1 Jn 3:1-3)
He laid down His life for me… that’s love! (1 Jn 3:16)
Are you a confessor that Jesus is the Son of God? Who is also loving others? Then you are abiding in God, believing and abiding in His love for you & others, and His Spirit in you is another token of His love for you (1 Jn 4:12-17)
He first loved us, so we love, and we are fearless (1 Jn 4:18-21)
Jesus gets the glory and dominion forever, the One who loves us, and released us from our sins by His blood, and made us into a kingdom of priests before God (Rev 1:5-6)
